The Range Fire in Provo Canyon, Utah began at a shooting range in October of 2020. It burned over 3,400 acres. The following spring, the charred brush contrasted against the new growth. In this performance piece, I use my body and dress as a canvas on which to record the loss. The images and remnants collected are a reminder that the earth carries the history we write on her. She cannot be kept from rebirth, though scars remain.
